This last Sunday, the Seattle Gin Society held a cocktail contest at the local Diller Room involving...well, gin. The challenge was simple enough; create your best Northwest gin cocktail using at least one locally produced ingredient. While gin was the required base spirit, it did not necessarily have to be local, just one of the ingredients. It honestly was pretty vague on what constitutes a locally produced ingredient, but it's a great way to get some exposure to some local distillers. The Pacific Northwest produces some great products and what better way to showcase them then in a delicious cocktail?
